Normandy beaches, a little bit of History.

 Hello friends,

Today, a little bit of our History: Normandy beaches.
When my son comes from Dubai, we have to rush to the beaches, visit the museum and military cimetaries, especially on 6th of June!
He wants to see the parachutes landing and the camps  reconstitutions.
I was amazed to see how many young people were dressed in US uniforms and the girls in vintage costumes.
In Normandy, all the old Jeeps , military trucks... are on the roads
Taking the highway from Caen towards the beaches.
Sainte Mère Église is the strategic point.
So we have to go to Pegasus bridge, have breakfast at the cafe Gondre and then it is the beginning of our pèlerinage!
He had found a new museum a few years ago, «  Dead man’s corner » the pictures are from it.
https://dday-experience.com/dead-mans-corner-museum/ I have put you the link to the museum.
On these days, in Normandy, this is The place to be. It reigns an usual atmosphere, we are back in time...

Happy Saint Patrick’s day!
